  Self Employed?

It never ceases to surprise me why people have recording tills but do not keep the till rolls! Perhaps after 42 years in this profession, I am still naive! It is very good business practice to have one of the modern computerised tills. The law is now that business records must be kept or you could face a fine. More importantly, I feel that these tills help you run the business, help avoid theft and not least, help considerably if you are faced with an investigation by either Customs or the Revenue. So keep proper records and keep all supporting documentation such as the till rolls.
